I read the following today... And I thought of you two, since you are headed to Oviedo... “Quien va a Santiago y no va al Salvador, honra al criado y deja al Señor.” Which refers to the Cathedral of San Salvador in Oviedo. I might have to walk that WAY one day! Abrassos! ¡Viva la Meseta!
The North, sleep in Sobrado Monastry. From there you can do 42 to Alberque after Airport
Love you guys! So happy that you enjoyed the brekast! Wiat until you see how you feel!
I will be interested to see what you decide. It’s your Camino and so you have to decide. Whatever you decide is the right thing for you. Buen Camino from Wallabi Point, Australia.
You can totally do 50km! That is a great idea, especially without backpacks. I have walked 40km in snowy mountains with a heavy backpack. I was tired and sore but I kept going (with a headlamp) because I had no choice. Also marathon runners can run 50km or longer without stopping. You can stop for a break halfway and just do two half marathons lol. I look forward to hearing about it.
Thank you for all the info, sharing your thoughts, and your lovely selves. Inspiring stuff. Kia ora from Nelson, Aotearoa New Zealand
The scenery is like New Zealand!!
¡Buenissimo! Maybe we will meet you walking Camino del Norte in September.
Go for it. It could be a great addition to your list of experiences.
It looks like the Chivor reservoir in Colombia!
What a beautiful scene!! Thank you for sharing!
Hi Ricky and Ericka, greetings from Albuquerque, NM, camino next June, Blessings
Rent a tandem bike and ride the final 50 - Quique 😊
a few people hiking the PCT will do a 24 hour day one time during their hike, some get to as many as 80 miles
Beautiful, thank you for sharing. Buen camino
Just finished that stage a few days ago, my knee hurt so bad after that decent! Amazing views! Enjoy
You won't remember the high
Camino del norte
Beautiful view!! Good day from California.🐾🌺
Hello ❤ you could do 50 k with your day packs & energy bars. 😅 Good luck
Hi from Australia! Wonderful scenery - reminds me of a loch in Scotland 🙂Interesting idea to walk the last 50km in one go - very meditative I think. The German guy 'Storiestellr' walked about 90km in 24 hours into Santiago and he found it quite a mystical experience.
Thanks!
Animooo!! Mañana Fonsagrada deseyunar bien😅😊
53 K? No problem without bags and on the flat, just a little more than a marathon, and you’re not running 😊❤️
Hi guys, I'm arriving in Toulouse on the 8 july to ebike the Camino and can't walk it with my bad knee! Any tips
Since you have walked the Camino several times then go for the “big day “ of walking. Be sure to stop for coffee and Aquarius. Then treat yourself to a spa in Santiago. 😊 Rest up for a day or so (have some Santiago cake and coffee) then go on to Finisterre
Do 50 km in one day.
Follow your hearts and inner compass. Walking the last 50 km would be a complete act of surrender and presents the gift of being and living in the moment. It would not be an act of self punishment or flagellation, but would be a release of control and an opportunity to open yourselves up to the miracles that surround us and free your mind to connect your heart with nature. I suppose you wish to connect with nature and the consciousness grid that covers and connects all on this beautiful Earth. Everyone, at every moment breathes in and out as one. One breath that connects us all to one another. How amazing is this. What ever you both decide, what an adventure. Hurray.Tou are inspirational and I love your passion for life and its deeper meaning.❤❤❤
Pushing through physically will clear the mind!! Love the idea!
Thanks for sharing the views today - what a great walk. After the fog & rain, you’re enjoying sun ☀️ & 🪨🍒🌳 views. For the end of the Camino - how does your body respond to 50 km with no backpack (or just a day pack)? Enjoy the route however you decide to walk it - buen camino! 👣🐾🌿😊☀️
Do you ever transport your bags on these tougher Caminos?
Laurie and AnnMarie here from America.
Looks like Norway
Hello!!!
Hello from America
Do you ever transport your bags or do you always carry your gear?
I assume you. Need more elevation (height increase) training
Chuirrio..yummm from America

mine starts in exactly one week :) I'll walk the Frances up to Leon and then I'll walk the Camino San Salvador from there to Oviedo and finish on the Primitivo. That is the plan
It is your good nature and inspiring commentary that’s attracting us Australians (Aussies) I believe. ❤
Thanks
What time do you do your live streams?
Hi guys, one more question: Do I need to bring a sleeping bag or just a liner? I have checked a few albergues in Lugo, they provide linens, but not blankets. How cold in albergues at night?
Voy a ver mañana - a ver vuestra sorpresa - Quique
For me, on our 2019 Portuguese Camino, my Salomon X Ultra (Goretex. Low.) were fabulous. I also carried my beloved (and admittedly heavy) Chacos sandals. The Chacos were primarily for evenings but I did walk some in the them for a break. No blisters! I also used Ininji toe socks and Darn Tough Light hiker socks. My wife, wasn’t so fortunate and her feet were a mess when we got to Santiago.
Buen camino 👍
How heavy are your packs?
Jean in Baltimore, Maryland.
G’day - Australian in Porto - I really enjoy your channel and content. There’s a Camino from Porto to Santiago de Compostella. Keep up the great work.
